Hacking Happiness

Recently I was posed with a very interesting question during one of these talk sessions.

As we discussed habits of happiness for elevating the happiness quotient I was asked :

Do men and women respond differently to happiness habits? Is there a possibility that physical activity (one of the ways to achieve resourcefulness and happiness) could have fairer/ more distinguishing impact on men as compared to women?

So, here’s the thing about happiness hacks. For any habit/ hack to be effective it has to essentially go through the following filters:

1. It must feel Natural

2. It must be Meaningful

3. It must feel Fun

If a happiness habit does not qualify even one of these filters, then that particular ritual is simply not meant for you. Irrespective of your gender/cast/creed/religion/status. You simply need to choose another one from the plethora available.

Happiness or Happiness Habit does not discriminate between men and women. It simply relates to your whole being. While men and women have the liberty to choose one of the many that suits their being! Each individual responds uniquely to habits of happiness – happiness being a highly subjective and personal phenomenon.

So, the next time you say to yourself I can’t meditate for happiness and inner peace – it’s just not me – give it fair try; and if it doesn’t work please find some ritual else that can help you get centred. And then simply choose from variety of tools available. (Presuming you find meditating difficult to practice after sustained trying)

Notwithstanding that each of these tools have their own unique advantages, when practiced with earnestness.

So go ahead and find your own Happiness!

If you cannot find, I will help you create it.
